“Watercolors are always painted on paper or paper board”
Watercolors are always painted on paper or paperboard. They are always displayed matted and under glass. Watercolors are transparent by nature and are never used with white. Unlike acrylics and oils the watercolor pigments do not dry to a permanent finish. The absorbent paper stabilizes the pigment but watercolors should always be protected .
