My wife and I attended a wedding at an inn on Pouts Neck near Portland Maine. It is where Winslow Homer had his studio. We were able to walk the path along the cliffs to visit his studio which is now maintained by the National Park Service. Along the way, we saw this bolder. Someone had placed the sharp stone in the gap under the rock and I think it was no accident that it made the rock look like a whale.
